  4. It strikes me as hard to come up with somethig everyday. I can see how it would take away from other projects. So, I'll talk about something.

    Has anyone here ever had a spouse or loved not want to read your book or writing project? I still cannot believe my wife and adult children have not read my books. Oh, she read one book, and the others are still being edited, but it still seems odd.

    However, my editor says that is not unusual, and to not worry about it. Many other authors have the same problem. Close loved ones feel awkward reading your work. What if they don't like what you wrote? They feel they have to be honest, and that could cause problems. And of course, what if there is a sex scene, my son explained. lol.

    And then there is the whole psychology problem of figuring out where you got the ideas for your stories. So, if your loved ones won't read your books or projects unless you force or nag them, it's not because of lack of support. They are just afraid. Anyone else out there have this problem?
