The elements: Rain

Rain, I understand the earth needs you.  Plants, trees, and flowers need you to grow.

I understand that I would die without you.

But usually gray skies follow you and I can't stand gray skies.

And you kept me up all night with your pounding and storming and while I usually like that sound, I don't like it when I'm trying to sleep.

Okay, yes, I know I live in the Pacific Northwest, but this is ridiculous.  It's May and you could share a little more time with the sun.

  1. Megan, I am sensing no more angst. I feel a loss. Your contentment has made us all sad.

What kind of attutude is that! I'm snapping out of my rainy day funk, realizing that there is plenty of angst left in you for everyone.

After all, sales and publicity issues are in your future. Start worrying.

On the same day you announced your publishing contract, my 2nd America's Galactic Foreign Legion Book (AGFL - Reenlistment) came out on Amazon.com. But, getting publicity is a bear.

At first I thought sales of about one book a day was thrilling, but now I think that with 350 million people in the USA, sales should be better.

So, until your angst returns, I'll angst for you. Looking forward to more coudy days and miserable weather.

  2. You could send some of that rain over my way. I'm not ready for the super heated weather to set in here and it is fast approaching.

  3. Hi Majorie:

I remember trying to blog you a while back because your photograghs remind me of where I grew up (Tucson). I miss the sun.

Not all blog sites let me in because I don't have my own blog site, only a website. Is the desert flowering now?

  4. Walter, my angst will never truly abandon me, it's part of me.

Marjorie, gladly, I'm ready for the heat, of course, I don't get the kind of heat here that you get down there.

  5. I've got some wind to trade you -- blow those gray clouds right out of there!

  6. Ha. It went from torrential rain last night, to blustery winds today. now all I need are a firestorm and earthquake and the elements are all accounted for.

  7. I LOVE the spring rains, but having lived in the northwest, I know the pain of gray skies... in Michigan the skies open up and DUMP, but then the clouds clear... very different from my time in Portland with the 8 month drizzle. (though I miss the NW for other reasons--all the cool people are there... and mountains... and oceans... all in all, you win)
